R&B songstress and former Love & Hip Hop Atlanta reality star K.Michelle recently took to Instagram to publicly endorse Hillary Clinton for president in 2016. In four posts, the “Love ‘Em All” singer shared her her affinity for Mrs. Clinton, and shared some her own story in hopes to inspire the masses.
“My life has taken me places I would’ve never thought. I graduated from Florida A&M University with honors, and later was accepted into numerous law schools. Then one wrong turn and my life changed,” she wrote. “From ratchet reality TV, Twitter fights, to currently making history as the 1st African-American to ever receive an endorsement and their own beverage brand through Jack Daniels. So many wrong turns, but a constant fight to get back on the right track. It’s takin some time…P.S. I will be actively supporting and campaigning for Hillary Clinton throughout this term, she is a woman who you should know. A woman also counted out. I relate to her. I’m placing my energy in people and things that evoke CHANGE!”
She also went onto express other reasons for why she endorses Hillary as well, saying how as an African-American woman she can relate to Hillary as well based on her stance and belief on things. Lastly, she spoke about the importance of education and more so, how significant it is for minority students to pursue higher learning. Also adding how she herself will be helping a girl finance her studies.
“What do you believe in, and are you willing to fight for it against all odds? It’s not easy but it’s worth it. #hillary2016,” she concluded.
Amid K.Michelle’s allegiance to Hillary, she didn’t go out with out some backlash from fans, who don’t agree with Michelle backing up Hillary. Check out some of their disgruntled comments below:
