A new $5 million lawsuit claims that the Kardashian sisters lied about the benefits of QuickTrim.
According TMZ several people in New York claim there’s no way QuickTrim could’ve helped Kim, Khloe and Kourtney lose weight because the main ingredient is caffeine.
“The FDA has determined [caffeine] is not a safe or effective treatment for weight control,” says the complaint.
According to the suit, filed in NY by Bursor & Fisher, the Kardashians had been lying to the public through commercials, magazines and social media since 2009. They sited an example from Kim who once tweeted, “Our QuickTrim cleanse will be massive! Khloe has already lost so much weight.”
The plaintiffs claim they would never have purchased the QuickTrim products if they would have known the truth. But we’re wondering why people were so foolish in the first place.
The Kardashian camp has yet to comment.
