Despite reports that claim Karrine “Superhead” Steffans and her husband Columbus Short mended fences following a video she posted about Short’s alleged infidelity, it seems as if the former video vixen and author has filed a restraining order against Short following more disturbing, marital drama.
On Wednesday (April 6), Steffans stood before a judge asking for a restraining order. According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Steffans alleged her husband “kicked their bedroom door down in a drunken rage.” and in a separate incident, also accused Short of threatening her 18-year-old son.
“Drunken rages” aren’t something Short is unfamiliar with. In the past, the Stomp The Yard actor has cited substance abuse as the cause of his reckless behavior, reason for divorce from his ex-wife, Tannee McCall-Short and why he’s no longer on Scandal.
However, the actor is taking some of the responsibility. “I’ll be candid. I was struggling with drugs, I had a lot on my plate, and you know, I was using unhealthy ways to kind of self-medicate and deal with a lot of heavy-duty stuff in my life,” Short said.
Maybe this restraining order will be the wake up call he needs.
