Katt Williams is being sued for over an alleged beatdown, a mere two days after he was arrested in Portland, Org., on a misdemeanor assault charge. The chauffeur involved in the apparent altercation filed a lawsuit against Williams in a Multnomah County Circuit Court on Monday (Oct. 8), the Oregonian reports.
In the lawsuit, Wali Kanani accuses Williams of going into attack mode during an argument about his dog. Kanani, reportedly picked Williams up from a private airport hanger over the weekend, with the intention of taking him to an improv show where he was scheduled to appear for Nick Cannon’s Wild N’ Out tour.
Kanani claims the 47-year-old comedian flipped out and punched him in the face, broke his tooth and left his ears ringing — all because he wouldn’t allow his German shepherd to ride in the passenger seat of the SUV. Kanani also alleges that Williams called him a “piece of s**t” and “white trash” before ordering the dog to attack.
Kanani took cover inside an airport terminal but says that Williams continued to give him “threatening glares for several minutes” from outside the glass doors. He wants $76,000 for assault, battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
Williams, who pleaded not guilty to fourth-degree misdemeanor assault Monday, remains locked up in Multnomah County.
