Keke Wyatt Says Her Child Is Cancer-Free

Good news is on the horizon for acclaimed R&B singer Keke Wyatt. The “Saturday Love” artist shared with TMZ that her teenage son has beat cancer.

In June 2017, Wyatt shared the news that her child would have to endure chemotherapy three times a week. The mother-of-eight also revealed that she would shave her head to continuously support her son. But now a year later, she can celebrate her child’s journey to good health.

That’s not the only thing the R&B Divas: Atlanta cast-mate is celebrating. Wyatt found love and married a man named Zachariah Darring in Indianapolis in October. She was previously linked to Michael Ford who left Wyatt and her children when she was eight months pregnant with their child.

In a video posted by TMZ, Wyatt said her new beau has none of the traits her ex-partner has, specifically when it came to dealing with her son’s cancer treatments.

“This man will never tell me, ‘I’m tired of dealing with you. You’re pregnant. I’m tired of dealing with this cancer. I can’t deal with you, your mouth no more,’ like I’m not supposed to have emotional problems knowing my baby is on his deathbed,” she said. “A 14-year-old child, lying in the bed, dying, that I gave birth to? And I’m an emotional, toxic wreck?”

KEKE WYATT: We all remember the devastating video from the vocal angel, Keke Wyatt; that went viral summer 2017. A 8 month pregnant mother of 8 expressed her feelings about her husband (at the time) leaving her and their children. Now, over a year later; Miss Wyatt has finally opened up about that tempestuous period in her life. “You can’t have a testimony without a test,” Keke says calmly as she sits across the table holding her youngest, Kendall Miguel Wyatt. Having finally found her “happy” she is now ready to share her story with the world in hopes that it can help someone else out there that may be going through the same thing. Behind her curtain of beauty and incredible anointed voice was a world of sorrow and desolation. Presenting an image of perfection and happiness proved to be exhausting to the point that Miss Wyatt wasn’t even sure if she would be able to withstand the weight. “I thought that it would be better for everyone involved if I just didn’t exist anymore.” She says as a tears stream down her face. Just months before the video came out she found out that her second born was diagnosed with Cancer. The sheer pain of watching her child lay dying in the hospital before her eyes almost drove her to the point of no return. Her only solace was prayer and of course we all remember the shaving of her gorgeous hair she did in solidarity of her son’s illness. If being pregnant, being a mother of 8, having a thriving career, and taking her child to chemotherapy 3 times a week wasn’t stressful enough, her husband filed for divorce in the midst of it all. Keke’s world crumbled before her very eyes. “No one is perfect and we had our issues, but his timing was horrible,” Miss Wyatt says as she reaches for a napkin to wipe her eyes. Adding fuel to the fire was the fact that he left her for a mistress. Not any mistress but a mistress that Keke considered to be a friend, a little sister, a woman that had recently sang back up for her, a woman that she had even welcomed in to her very own home. (Continued) Wyatt says that she will never say either one of their names again, but she adds; “You know who the mistress is because she looks like she played in the movie Gremlins.” On April 7th 2018 Keke’s world took another blow. She was notified that her soon to be ex-husband was involved in an almost fatal car accident. Being the legal wife she uprooted and moved to Memphis, TN to be by his side while he recovered from an accident that almost took his life. “I was his wife, he was the father of my children. God says to love and love unconditionally, so that’s what I did. At that time he couldn’t walk or talk. It was up to me to make all of the decisions for his health care.” Keke sat tirelessly day after day night after night by his side. 2 months later after he came out of his coma and was taken off of all machines he made the decision to “fly off with that bat looking thing,” as Keke put it. “At that point I had washed my hands of the whole thing and I totally let it go.” Expressed Keke. “Even after all of that and all of the antagonizing and bullying on social media by his mistress hash-tagging my songs and attempting to bait me, I never reacted, I am so proud of myself… cause the old Keke would have ruined her whole entire life, but the new mature Keke realizes she is not worth my blessings.” The divorce became final and it was time for Keke to move on to the next chapter of her life. Through prayer and support from those close to her; Keke survived the lowest most difficult point in her life. She was so discouraged that she believed that she never wanted to have another relationship again. However, God placed an angel in her life by the name of Zachariah Darring. He just so happens to be her very first childhood boyfriend who grew up with her in Indianapolis, IN. Life separated them and true love has brought them back together. After reconnecting with him, surprisingly she found out that he had been single and celibate for 6 years praying for his wife; never in a million years did she think that she was the wife that he was praying for. But God is always in control. As of October 17, 2018 with only a small number of family they were married
