Keshia Knight Pulliam, aka Rudy Huxtable, was the first contestant to be “fired” from Donald Trump’s The Celebrity Apprentice, and the reason is painfully awkward. Pulliam, who worked with Bill Cosby on The Cosby Show for nearly ten years, was scrutinized for not tapping into the comedian’s funds. Assigned to run a bake sale, Pulliam served as the project’s manager, where she was responsible for rounding up funds from her famous friends. When it was revealed that she had not called Cosby, the panel could not conceive why she wouldn’t make such an obvious choice. Trump asked if she had reached out to her TV dad, and Pulliam attempted to explain. “I did not,” she said. “I have not talked to Bill Cosby on the phone in I don’t know how long. So for me to pick up the phone, having not talked to you for five years, except for when we run into each other for a Cosby event— I feel that’s not my place to do.” SEE ALSO: These Bill Cosby Comments About Phylicia Rashad Are Kind of Strange The show was filmed a year ago, before the recent wave of rape allegations against Cosby. This show was taped just before the terrible Bill Cosby revelations came to light. She still should have asked him for money-goes to charity.
