Jay-Z is laying down new rules for rappers and businessmen worldwide.
After rumors that NBA fan favorite Kevin Durant would sign with Roc Nation Sports, the Oklahoma City Thunder forward let the ink dry on an official contract with Hov’s sports roster as its first NBA star, alongside WNBA’s Skylar Diggins, NFL’s Geno Smith and MLB’s Robinson Cano.
The announcement was made on Roc Nation’s official site along with a special flick from the OKC player himself.
“Grateful for this opportunity with Roc Nation Sports,” KD wrote on Instagram, captioning a photo of his sit-down signing with Mr. Carter. “It’s go time.”
The Magna Carta Holy Grail MC also showed Durantella major love. “He has a 90.5 [percent] free throw shooting rate, the youngest player in NBA history to join the 50-40-90 club, a giving individual, and a legend in the making,” Jay said in a statement. “What more can I say?”—Ashley M. Travers
