There were a host of performances and tweetable moments during the 2018 MTV VMAs. Kevin Hart, who presented the ‘Best Hip-Hop’ video with his Night School co-star Tiffany Haddish, had a few choice words for the younger set of hip-hop during the show, which aired on Monday night (Aug. 20).
“A lot of people in here tonight,” Hart told the large crowd at Radio City Music Hall. ”We got Lil Pump, we got Lil Xan, these are also the reasons that your 12-year-old cousin wants a face tattoo.”
He then offered some advice for the lil’ rappers on the off-chance their rap careers don’t pan out as expected.
“Stop writing on your g*ddamn face,” he stated. “Stop writing on your face, it’s stupid. You’re not going to get a job if this sh*t don’t work out, stop it.”
While the “Gucci Gang” MC’s reaction wasn’t captured by the cameras, Xan seemed to take the joke in stride. His new girlfriend Noah Cyrus hugs him as he laughs.
Nicki Minaj won the award for “Best Hip-Hop Video” for “Chun-Li,” where she thanked her fans and promised to dig up dirt on the ‘c**ksucker of the day’ on today’s Queen Radio episode (Aug. 21).
