In an effort to help Diana (a worker at Conan O’Brien’s late-night talk show) with her driving skills for her upcoming road test, Ice Cube and Kevin Hart hopped in for a real life “ride along,” on Conan’s Tuesday night show (Jan. 5).
“Rule number one: DON’T F**K THIS UP!” shouted Hart to the young driver, while Ice Cube offered up advice on how to slow down, just in case there is a drive-by. They also told tales of their early driving days.
“I used to have a tray full of pennies,” said Hart, but he had them in order to throw them at other drivers, prompting Diana to throw a penny out the window and (unfortunately) get scolded.
Diana also drove the bunch to a marijuana dispensary, where they stashed all of their green goodies inside a piñata that they picked up along the way.
“This is like a Cheech and Chong movie,” Conan exclaimed as the car billowed with smoke, to which Cube replied, “we ain’t scared of no po-po!” They are eventually pulled over by a cop, who has a word with them about traffic safety after O’Brien runs a red light and blocks a crosswalk. The clip ends with the quartet combatting their munchies with some Popeye’s chicken.
If Diana doesn’t end up getting her driver’s license, at least she had a good time, right? Ride Along 2 opens in theaters on January 15. Check out the hilarious video below.
