Kevin Hart stopped by the Late Late Show with James Corden to promote his upcoming comedy, Central Intelligence, in theaters on Friday (June 17).
Things took a turn when the two comedians went head on in a rap battle. Just like any other lyrical showdown, the two threw constant jabs at one another, minus the “your mama jokes.” During “Drop the Mic,” everything was up for mentions, including their appearance, friends, their net worth, and business endeavors.
“He not ready,” Hart chuckled before the battle began.
Corden spit his rhymes first. He handed Kevin a stepping stool, thinking it might help him, and called Kevin a Jokey Smurf after stating, “Why would you step to me/ you know I can destroy you/you might think like a man/ but you’re built like a boy.”
Kevin put his game face on and attacked Corden with his words. Known for not treading lightly when it comes to his comebacks, he said, “James Corden thinks I look like a kid/ well I might be small but my bank accounts big/ You know what rhymes with James Corden/ late-night boredom/ you’re not important.”
Corden clearly wasn’t ready. Kevin took home the championship title.
