While Meek Mill was performing at Drai’s night club in Las Vegas Sunday (Sept 4), he spotted and welcomed comedic rockstar Kevin Hart to the stage. The fellow Philly native was in town celebrating his HartBeat weekend with an advanced screening of Kevin Hart: What Now? which is expected to hit theaters October 14.
The Philly natives exchanged playful jabs on stage, all in good fun. Meek began attacking Kev for his eyes, saying he looks like he’s on molly. Hart then channeled his Chocolate Droppa rap ego and went after Meek’s style with his choice of pants and sneakers, but ended with a positive message for the crowd, praising the often embattled rapper.
The Let Me Explain comedian said, “This is all love, man,” ending with, “I stand by my guy, when I say that I mean I stand by my guy’s talent. I separate the bullsh*t from the talent. If y’all don’t respect nothing else, respect my n*gga’s talent. Meek Mill is official and has the talent. He gets it done. I’m a fan forever. I’m a Philadelphia guy forever, I’m going to ride with Meek forever.”
Hart captioned a picture of the moment on Instagram with, “My guy….Good seeing u this weekend man….All love as usual!!!!”
Meek responded with an Instagram post of his own captioned, “@kevinhart4real all fun and love!#4life #phillysh*t.”
