While her husband wears Make America Great Again hats, Kim Kardashian-West has reportedly been in daily contact with the White House Senior Advisor in hopes to help grant clemency for a black man serving a life sentence.
According to The Washington Post, the reality television star was among several attendees at “a listening session about the clemency process.” According to a pool report, “the discussion is mainly focused on ways to improve that process to ensure deserving cases receive a fair review.”
In May, Kardashian-West made headlines when a picture was taken with her standing next to President Trump at the resolute desk. The 36-year-old mother of three spoke to the president on behalf of Alice Marie Johnson, 63, who was imprisoned in 1996 and was serving a life sentence for a non-violent crime. Kardashian’s advocacy worked and Johnson was eventually released from prison.
Now Kardashian’s focus is on Chris Young who is 10 years into his life sentence for marijuana and cocaine possession. “Kardashian has been in near daily contact with [Jare4] Kushner or White House staff members to push for more names.”
Think Kim K can go two for two?
