For Kanye West’s 38th birthday, Kim Kardashian gave him the ultimate birthday gift and rented out the Staples Center so he and his friends could play an NBA-style basketball game.

But if you think this was simply street ball inside the house Kobe built, you’re wrong. E! News reports Kanye and his boys played basketball with real NBA referees and Laker cheerleaders. John Sally was an announcer while James Harden and 2 Chainz acted as coaches. G.O.O.D Music brethren John Legend also sang the National Anthem.

This was totally a thing.
Sources say Pusha T, Justin Bieber, Kobe Bryant, Russell Westbook, Scottie Pippen, Magic Johnson, Carmelo Anthony and the rest of the Kardashian clan were also on hand.
