Keeping up with Kim Kardashian has landed a 19-year-old Florida teenager who tried to steal her identity behind bars.
According to TMZ, Luis Flores Jr. has been sentenced to 42 months in federal prison for staging an identity theft scheme involving multiple celebrities, including Kimmy.
The scam artist was first on the FBI’s radar last year when American Express notified the U.S. Secret Service about a phone call made by someone claiming to be a Kardashian and knew all of the reality star’s personal info, the Orlando Sentinel reports.
Flores had changed the Social Security number on the account to his own and requested for replacement cards to be mailed to his mom’s apartment in Lake Mary, Fl. The teen proceeded to transfer over $71,000 from Kris Jenner’s account into his own bank account after making a similar request under her name.
Other celebs Flores reportedly targeted include Ashton Kutcher, Tom Cruise and Paris Hilton, Michelle Obama, Bill Gates and Beyonce.
Flores was arrested back in August and pleaded guilty to all charges. His mom, Kyah Green, also involved in the scam, was sentenced to three years probation plus a jail sentence for lying to authorities about her son’s criminal activities.
