A blast from the Kardashian past appeared on Twitter timelines last night as Bruce Jenner’s transition announcement on 20/20 became a trending topic. Kris Humphries, former husband of Kim Kardashian, threw subliminal shade, remarking that he grateful for his severed relationship with the family:

Humphries then backpedaled on his statement, calling his initial tweet “vague” and vowing that he supports Jenner’s transition:
I have and always will support Bruce hence #Gottadoyou. Now recognize I was too vague and sincerely apologize for the way this came across.

Humphries and Kardashian were married for a total of 72 days. Their E! wedding special, Kim’s Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event scored their reality show record ratings back in 2011. The four hour, two-part show drew in an average four million viewers, who tuned in to for their nuptials, which reportedly ran the couple a cool $20 million. Kardashian began dating Kanye West shortly there after.
The Kardashian/Jenner family has not responded to Humphries’ comment as yet.
