Sexual assault is real in New York City — unfortunately. Ladies, in case you were asking yourself where are the men who will stand up for women, well look no further than local Brooklyn rapper, Moise Morancy. A 21-year old aspiring rapper/actor who, for today, is a hero out here in these streets.

In a viral video, Morancy was filmed restraining a middle-aged looking man who allegedly touched a teenage girl without her consent. He held him down for about 20 mins after before authorities arrived.

He warned all sexual predators in the video, “Muthafuc*as that touch a girl without her permission, this is what imma do to you,” as he held him by the collar. “Don’t you ever do that s–t again, you hear me? He was touching a little girl, and then I defended her.”

According to the NY Daily News, Morancy was returning home from putting the finishing touches on his debut mixtape, “Chronicles of A Ghetto Rose” when he witnessed the victim “careess her leg” without her consent.
“I’m sitting at the back of the bus when this drunk guy gets on, saying all types of sexual s–t to this little girl sitting next to me,” Morancy wrote on his Facebook page. “At first he started caressing her hand and I saw how uncomfortable it made her…so she let go and put her hands in her pocket. He then proceeded to forcibly do it again.”
After a passenger called 911, NYPD officers then got on the bus and arrested the alleged perp, Pablo Levano, and then detained Morancy. In a quote given to the NY Daily News, Morancy said that he was very confused when the officers put handcuffs on him. “They started to detain me, and I was confused. I felt criminalized,” said Morancy.
However, things took a brighter turn after an NYPD sergeant, a black man, ordered his released. “He was black, and he told me I was a hero, which I was surprised to hear,” Morancy said. “It gave me a different perspective on the NYPD because I have had prior run-ins with the police because I have been racially profiled.”
Levano is currently being held at Rikers Island and has been charged with forcible touching, child endangerment and harassment. He has a $2,000 bond or $1,000 cash bond.
As for Morancy, we hope that his bars is as dope as his heart.
