In her teen years, Lupita Nyong’o wasn’t always the charmer she is today. During an interview on Late Night with Seth Myers Monday evening (March 14) the actress shared the embarrassing story of how she was stood up on prom night.
The “Eclipsed” star said (while wearing a bold burnt-orange Balmain number) she was on the committee for bringing the idea of prom to her school in Kenya. After she asked the anonymous guy to be her date, she confessed the two didn’t speak much prior to her proposal. Nonetheless, the actress made her own dress and waited at the venue for her dream guy.
Unfortunately, he never showed. More than likely the actress’ impromptu invite might have been too much, but you can’t blame a girl for trying.
