Once Kendrick Lamar released his critically-acclaimed studio album, DAMN. on Friday (April 14), the TDE cohort’s fans launched into conspiracy theory mode. A few people began to dissect possible clues that Lamar would gift the world with another disc of tunes on Easter Sunday (April 16), and one person even made an insane bet.
According to Noisey, a Reddit user named CousinTyrone lost a gamble when K. Dot’s DAMN. follow-up never came to fruition. As part of the loss, the unidentified man had to mark his defeat by consuming a milkshake that included a vinyl record and ice cream.
On the hazard of consuming a vinyl record, one of CousinTyrone’s friends posted a statement on the presumably poisonous intake. “Just to be clear, we got into contact with Poison Control prior to the making of this video,” the message reads. “It was relayed to me multiple times that there is no chemical risk to consuming a vinyl record, and our only concern was the shards’ effect on Tyrone’s digestive tract.”
Despite news of that strange loss, Lamar is on track for another major win. According to Billboard, the Compton native will possibly snag his third No. 1 album and might sell around 475,000 album units.
The “HUMBLE.” rapper recently demolished Coachella’s stage this past weekend with assistance from ScHoolboy Q and Future.
