R&B Divas will be outchea for this year’s BET Honors. Mariah Carey, Tamar Braxton, Jennifer Hudson, Janelle Monáe, Smokey Robinson and Karen Clarke Sheard have been confirmed to perform tributes to musical icons at this year’s BET Honors, according to Billboard.
The seventh annual awards show will honor the likes of Aretha Franklin, Ice Cube, Motown Records Founder Berry Gordy, American Express CEO Ken Chenault and visual artist Carrie Mae Weems. Past honorees have included the late Whitney Houston, Jamie Foxx, Queen Latifah and Diddy.
The ceremony, which will be held at the Warner Theatre in Washington D.C., will be hosted by Wayne Brady and awards will be presented by Ludacris, Mack Wilds, Rev. Al Sharpton and Joe Morton.
