Mariah Carey’s infamous “I don’t know her,” line has struck again. The singer – who once threw infamous shade at Jennifer Lopez with that quote in the year 2000 – is sticking to her story. In a recent exchange with TMZ, Carey was asked about the line, and kept her answer short and not-so-sweet answer:
“I still don’t know her,” Carey said.
The quote has reared its ugly head during Lopez’s sit-down on Watch What Happens Live videos on E! Host Andy Cohen referenced a video from the 2015 Billboard Awards, where Lopez was captured using her phone during Carey’s performance. “Okay, first of all, that was not fair with the texting thing because I watched a lot of it. It was a long performance, okay? I watched most of it.” Lopez also did a later interview on The Wendy Williams Show, during which she reacted to Carey’s “I don’t know her” quote.
“She does say that, she’s forgetful I guess. I’ve met her several times. I don’t know her that well,” she told Wendy Williams.
