A Florida middle school student landed in the middle of a criminal investigation this weekend. According to TIME, the unidentified adolescent admitted to throwing a 2×4 piece of wood at Donald Trump’s motorcade, which was on its way to his Mar-a-Lago estate on Friday (Feb. 18).
Four other peers were involved in the situation, the New York Daily News adds, but the status of their investigation is still unknown. Palm Beach County police officials are sifting through surveillance footage at this time.
Although the procession continued pressing on, “several members of the motorcade returned to the scene and began canvassing the area looking for witnesses and any small hard objects along the roadway in that area,” a statement from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office reads.
The details concerning the type of charge the student will face have yet to be revealed.
