Nicki Minaj is partnering with Glu Mobile to bring the world a new mobile game they hope you’ll become addicted to.
Titled “Nicki Minaj: The Empire,” the game (which is set to hit the App Store on Minaj’s Dec. 8 birthday) will offer users the chance to step in the rap star’s shoes as an entertainer and entrepreneur.
“This year for my birthday I’m giving my fans the most incredible gift ever,” Nicki wrote on Instagram. “#NickiMinajTheEMPIRE – in just one week [Dec. 8th] you’ll get to create your own Rap Empire where you can record yourself rapping on the same track as me.”
Fans will also get the chance to perform and record a track, as well as play it back and share it with other people who play the game.
“…visit PRIVATE chat rooms, dress yourself & friends with a million clothes options, change your wig color, your highlights, your ROOTS, your makeup!!! lol y’all ready?!?? I AM!!!!” Nicki added in her spirited caption.
Partnering with Glu was a pretty smart business decision, as the company is responsible for the wildly-popular “Kim Kardashian: Hollywood,” which accounted for over $74 million (more than 30 percent) of the company’s revenue when it hit the App Store in 2014. Hopefully “Nicki Minaj: The Empire” will be just as profitable.
