Kanye West has a legion of fans who are down to elect the Chi-town native as president — if he decides to run — but now, Yeezy might get support from his fellow rap peers as well.
In a quick interview with TMZ, famed lyricist N.O.R.E. shared his backing of Ye. “I’m gonna be Kanye’s biggest supporter when he runs for president. I think he should,” the “Blood Money” rapper said. Although N.O.R.E. can’t participate in any election given his arrest record, he said, “I’m gonna make everybody that I know vote for [him], that can vote.”
During an award acceptance speech at the MTV VMA’s in August, Kanye revealed that he’s planning to become the leader of the free world. He reiterated that same sentiment in an interview with Vanity Fair, letting readers know he’s quite serious about this political venture.
“When I run for president, I’d prefer not to run against someone. I would be like ‘I want to work with you,'” he said. “And I think all the people running right now have something that each of the others needs. But the idea of this separation and this gladiator battle takes away from the main focus that the world needs help and the world needs all the people in a position of power or influence to come together.”
