Students at New York University will be able to experience rap royalty on an intimate level. The Beastie Boys recently signed a contract with the school’s Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music program to allow students the ability to utilize the group’s Oscilloscope studio.
A part of the program mandates NYU students to craft a “customized, entrepreneurial music business venture,” Billboard reports. Jeff Rabhan, chair of the institute, also took to Twitter to express his excitement over the news.
“Psyched to announce that @CliveDavisInst inked a deal with The Beastie Boys to work and record in their famed Oscilloscope studio in NYC,” he wrote

Students will have the memorable opportunity of producing and recording projects within the studio, a place that’s been graced by M.I.A., Santigold, and Kanye West.
