Officer Darren Wilson who fatally shot 18-year-old Mike Brown this summer has intentionally stayed out of the public eye. However, while the nation awaits to learn whether or not the 28 year old will be charged, the New York Times reports Wilson recently got married.
Last month, Wilson applied for a marriage license and married fellow officer 37-year-old Barbara Spradling. The couple obtained their marriage license in Clayton, Mo., in the recorder of deeds office in the Lawrence K. Roos administrative building just a stone’s throw away from where the grand jury had been held.
Records show Wilson and Spradling were married Oct. 24 and the small wedding was attended by one of Wilson’s lawyers, Greg Kloeppel and Christopher B. Gravill, a municipal judge who performed the ceremony. This is a second marriage for both officers. Wilson’s first divorce was finalized in November 2013.
