In April 2017, four brothers had a life-changing experience when they received acceptance letters from Harvard, Duke, Georgetown, Yale and Stanford. The quadruplets were then faced with a mounting decision: which college will they call home.
According to USA Today, that home for the siblings will be Yale University. The Ohio natives shared their revelation and elation on the Today show on Monday (May 1). They also based their decision off of the amount of financial aid they’ll receive from the institution.
In an initial interview with the Washington Post, Aaron Wade summed up his brothers — Zach, Nigel and Nick’s feelings. “The outcome has shocked us. We didn’t go into this thinking, ‘Oh, we’re going to apply to all these schools and get into all of them.’ It wasn’t so much about the prestige or so much about the name as it was — it was important that we each find a school where we think that we’ll thrive and where we think that we’ll contribute,” he said.
The teens plan to pursue a degree in areas from neuroscience to economics.
