With Super Bowl 50 less than 72 hours away, Pepsi has decided to pay a musical tribute to some of music’s greatest artist, both past and present. What better artist can put a modern yet classy twist to any form of musical homage? The one & only Janelle Monae.
With one partnership with the global beverage brand already under her belt, the Wondaland Arts Society co-founder adds her unique touch to the popular jingle, “Joy of Cola,” for the upcoming broadcast of Pepsi’s latest commercial, “The Joy of Dance.” In the Samuel Bayer-directed visual, Monae is seen doing what she does best, move and groove to the rhythm of the beat.
Although this commercial is one of many activations Pepsi has planned for this year’s Super Bowl, those attending the game will be able to take part in various activities during the game’s weekend like visiting the Kola House at Pier 70 or the Pepsi Fan Deck at Levi’s Stadium.
As we all count down to the historic game night and halftime show, peep Janelle Monae dancing to the classic sounds of “Do You Love Me” by The Contours and “Express Yourself” by Madonna.
