A hint has landed that Kendrick Lamar’s upcoming album may be of legendary proportions.
Pete Rock recently revealed that he has worked with K. Dot on his highly-anticipated good kid, m.A.A.d city follow-up. In an interview with XXL, the hip-hop icon detailed his involvement on the project, stating that he has lent his hands as well as his voice.
“I did some scratching and I’m on the hook on one of his songs on his album,” he said. “I’m really excited about that. It’s just a regular hook. I can’t really sing it to you, you’re just going to have to hear it.”

While he left much to the imagination, Pete Rock did share that he and Kendrick’s track will run in the same vein as another notable collaboration of his: Nas’ “The World Is Yours.” After working with Schoolboy Q and Ab-Soul, the self-dubbed Soul Brother No. 1 said that he and K. Dot’s link-up had only been a text message away.
