Since the birth of his first born, Ray J (otherwise known as William Ray Norwood Jr.) has set out to be a better man, going as far as to clean up his behavior on VH1’s Love & Hip Hop. Now the singer-turned-actor, turned singer (again), turned reality television personality, turned businessman, has opted to enroll in Philander Smith College.
In a message tailored for Instagram, the 37-year-old mentioned he had spent three days at the historically black college. The younger Norwood will be following in the footsteps of his business savvy parents, who attended HBCUs and cultivated successful careers for both their children.
Starting classes in January 2019, the “Sexy Can I” singer is looking to attend Philander Smith’s business school to grow his tech company, Raycon Global. “I welcome the opportunity to further my business skills as I continue to grow and expand my technology company @RayconGlobal. It’s never too late to go to college,” he wrote.
Ray J, who has proven that it’s never too late to go to college, has worked tirelessly to make his tech company worth millions and has reportedly secured a $31 million dollar deal.
Big ups to Ray J for proving black men are capable of anything.
