Russell Simmons has officially gone quiet since first posting about his #NotMe campaign on Instagram. Page Six found he’s put it on hold, reporting Simmons has decided it was “a time for women to speak.”
Four women have come forward accusing Simmons of rape, and another five women have accused him of sexual misconduct. Since those allegations, Simmons has stepped down from his businesses, but denies any wrongdoing.
He introduced his campaign via Instagram in December and said he was innocent without any doubt of all rape charges, and will “hold my accusers accountable.” TMZ reported he took a lie detector test and “passed [it] with flying colors.”

“Mr. Simmons’ previous statement stands, and he has nothing to add to [them] at this time,” his reps told Page Six.
