Multiple sources have confirmed that Atlanta rapper Shawty Lo died in a car accident during the early morning hours on Wednesday (Sept 21).

According to reports, Lo was riding in a White Audio when it jumped a guardrail on I-285 in Atlanta’s Fulton county. Two other passengers were reportedly injured in the car wreck, but survived the incident.
Local police believe the crash happened at about 2:20 a.m. and it temporarily blocked the I-285 southbound ramp to Cascade Road.
The Georgia native was just 40-years old at the time of his death.
