Jimmy Kimmel’s recurring “Mean Tweets” portion of his late night show packs in the funny despite the harsh comments that faceless social media users aim at entertainers. In promotion of the NBA Finals, this edition placed the league’s top players on the hot seat where they read heartless statements.
“Does anyone know what Blake Griffin is? did Morgan Freeman and carrot top impregnate an amazon or what happened…” one user wrote to the Los Angeles Clippers player. Another Twitter user wrote, “Russell Westbrook look like Jar Jar Binks” to which the OKC member said, “I’ll take your word for it, I don’t know who that is, but sure.”
Given the intense match-up between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors, it’s nice to see a few athletes crack a smile even though the comments were a little harsh.
