First Lady Michelle Obama was the center of a recent social media outbreak. In response to not-so-appealing school lunches, some students nationwide decided to join in on the sarcastic hashtag #ThanksMichelleObama depicting images of their midday meals. This stems from Mrs. Obama’s support of healthy school dishes in association with the USDA regulations and the Healthy, Hunger Free Kids Act. The guidelines call for a cap on certain ingredients like sugar, fat, and sodium in kids’ food, which is aimed at combating childhood obesity. Check out a few of the tweets below.
