Former Subway spokesman Jared Fogle is reportedly suing the parents of one of his victims. According to TMZ, the disgraced public figure alleged the parents of “Jane Doe” are to blame for the teen’s problems. TMZ reports Doe’s parents sued Fogle and his former business partner earlier this year.
In the suit, 39 year old Fogle said the victim’s parents were less than stellar and argued in front of the child as well as abused alcohol, which Fogle alleges resulted in her depression. Fogle, formerly known as “The Subway Guy” is also blaming the parents for the the victim’s “destructive behavior” which he alleges included self-mutilation, drug and alcohol use and suicidal thoughts.
The lawsuit, according to TMZ, is Fogle’s way of skirting responsibilities from the claims listed. In November 2015, Fogle plead guilty in a federal court to possessing child pornography and traveling to pay for sex with minors. His attorney originally requested a five year sentence, but Fogle was given 15 years and will be up for parole in 13 years.
Fogle’s time behind bars also hasn’t been easy. Back in March, it was reported Fogle was beaten up by a fellow prisoner. The altercation took place in recreation yard at the Englewood prison in Colorado, which left him with a swollen face and bloody nose.
