Tank’s sixth solo album, Stronger sold just 16,621 copies in its first week, and as a result it seems Atlantic Records will not be funding further promotion of the project. Taking to Instagram to vent his frustrations regarding his latest release, the R&B singer/songwriter wrote a lengthy caption questioning his fans and the genre.
Though one of the most shocking comments the singer makes is “Maybe I should have been born white then all my music would go straight to mainstream,” Tank also expressed an overall decline in musicianship for the sake of sales. Questioning whether he should take the same route, the singer ended his rant with “Please enjoy my last real R&B album ‘Stronger’ cause you’ll never get another one!”
