Randolph, North Carolina isn’t so fond of teenage mothers.
The county recently banned the yearbook photo of a teen mom holding her son because they felt it promoted teen pregnancies. Caitlin Tiller, the 17-year old teen, was extremely upset that her photo was banned since it represented how much love she has for her son and the responsibility she had taken on since giving birth.
Tiller graduated a semester early from high school, began college and found a part-time job since the birth of her son and still manages to take care of him. It is obvious that Tiller has a good head on her shoulders but even with all that as proof, Randolph county told her she would have to retake her photo.
“She took responsibility,” Karen Morgan (Tiller’s Mother) told MyFOX8.com. “They should be proud that the students are willing to stay in school graduate and make something of themselves and not try and hide it.”
Tiller has stated that if the county doesn’t want to keep her original photo in the yearbook then she would rather not have a photo in there at all.
