With a new home in Buffalo, New York with the Bills and a successful reality show, Terrell Owens feels good, and wants to spread the goodness by giving back.
Recently, the star wide receiver hooked up with local non-profit, the Food Bank of Western New York, to help feed hungry families.
Via a new campaign called “We Need 81 From Everyone”, named for the number on his Bills jersey, T.O. is asking for 81-cent donations to the organization.
In a 30 sec ad spot (see below), Owens says he and the Food Bank aim to provide 700,000 meals to hungry people.
“If everyone–you too–gives just 81 cents, we can help the Food Bank of Western New York provide nearly 700,000 meals a month for one year. Your 81 can change this world,” T.O. exclaims.
According to the organization’s website, 40,000 children and 100,000 people are hungry today in western New York.
