“My God provides and he has never let me down — not once,” says Malice at his The End of Malice in NYC. It’s a far cry from where he stood a decade ago as the Clipse reigned as one of hip-hop’s best duos of all time.
While the Virgina rap group was selling out shows across the world, there was a bitter inner struggle going on with the older brother of the group. Though he was drowning in all the spoils of the rap star lifestyle — the money, fame and women — he couldn’t grasp a breathe of God’s oxygen.
It took No Malice aka Gene Thornton through a series of life changing events that would give his personal life, career and moral beliefs a whole new meaning.
Last week in NYC, VIBE hosted the official screening for 1/2 of the Clipse groundbreaking documentary. For the first time, the Virginia native tales his story in full — with help from some of the people that know him best. You’ll hear the from the likes of Pusha T and Pharrell in this moving film.

New York City’s stop of No Malice’s 16-city screening tour took place last Wednesday (March 2) at AMC Loews theater in downtown Manhattan. Every seat was filled as fans were given an unfiltered look at Malice’s transformation to No Malice.

“The End of Malice” is a collaboration of Second Films and Ditoremayo Entertainment and will conclude its screening tour on March 10.
