Looks like fans weren’t the only ones surprised by Tamar Braxton’s exit from her popular daytime show, The Real.
In their first sit-down interview without the singer, the show’s remaining co-hosts–Loni Love, Adrienne Bailon, Jeannie Mai, and Tamera Mowry-Housley–told Extra‘s Mario Lopez they didn’t see Braxton’s dismissal coming either.
“We were totally taken by surprise when we found out that Tamar wouldn’t be returning to The Real,” comedian Loni Love expressed. “We love her,” she said. This isn’t the first time Loni has spoken up about the turn of events. She took to her Facebook account in May to address rumors that the co-hosts were responsible for Braxton’s firing.
Tamera Mowry-Housley spoke briefly on the void her absence will leave next season. “We will miss her dearly.” The ladies are moving forward with plans to host a live show and white party at the 2016 Essence Festival in July.
While this chapter has officially closed for Braxton, a new one awaits. The Braxton Family Values diva is moving on now that she has her own talk show in the works under Steve Harvey’s production company, East 112th Street Productions.
