Queen Latifah is one of the first female moguls who has completely crossed over from music and created an empire (sorry, Nicki). To add to her ever-growing résumé, The Hollywood Reporter announces that the actress “will produce and star in AOL web series about sports, entertainment and entrepreneurialism” starting in Spring.
Overseen by Arianna Huffington, co-founder of the Huffington Post, the sports-themed talk show for women will not be starring the Queen but she’ll pop in and out Barbara Walters style.
“It’s great having a company that’s supportive of doing the same kinds of things and looking to the future, as opposed to trying to hold on to how things were in the past,” Latifah tells THR.
More recently, Queen Latifah posed as The Little Mermaid‘s Ursula for an ad campaign.
