Earlier this week, T.I. revealed in his #CRWN interview with Elliott Wilson that he and Jeezy were finally working on a joint album. Entitled Dope Boy Academy, the two ATL rappers have alluded to working together on a project, but now details are pouring in on how far it has come. While both on-hand for their Power 105.1 Powerhouse appearances in New York, Tip and Jeezy both discussed the upcoming LP. “We’ve been talking about it for years, but we’re finally putting the execution part of it in the works,” T.I. said. Sharing that they already have at least six songs completed, T.I. stated that the album can finally get underway because the two have completed their solo releases this year. And while marketing and promotion have not been set in stone, Jeezy assures that the creative process between him and T.I. is as seamless as ever. “It’s like we’re brothers man, we just vibe. We go in there, have a good time, we make good music and that’s pretty much it. It’s nothing that’s rehearsed or nothing that’s thought about. It’s organic.” Watch T.I. and Jeezy talk their upcoming joint album below:
