After joining forces with TIDAL in February, T.I. launched the streaming service’s “Money Talk” challenge designed to raise money for education initiatives throughout the United States.
According to reports, the public donated over $46,000 to 86 charities that participated in the campaign. T.I. took to social media to congratulate the top six organizations that raised the most funds during the challenge which commenced on May 4.
The Rubber Band Man not only saluted their efforts, but he matched them with a $35,000 donation that will serve youth in various communities. “You guys have inspired me to match funds for ALL 6 of your education initiatives!” he wrote.
Earlier in the year, the Atlanta rapper and businessman spoke to SOHH about his decision to launch the program through TIDAL. “We just already knew what the intent was to do things that we had like minds about. One of those things is inspiring entrepreneurial initiatives in the community and promoting education,” he said. “I think this was the most valiant opportunity to do so. It’s the first of many.”
After a successful campaign, we’ll have to stay tuned to see what King move T.I. unleashes next.
