T.I. went to Capitol Hill today (May 27) in order to carry out the important work Nipsey Hussle was working on for low-income communities.
Per TMZ, the Atlanta rapper “attended a meeting with members of the Congressional Black Caucus as it tries to jumpstart incentive investment in low-income communities.” This was the same meeting the Victory Lap MC was scheduled to attend before his death on Mar. 31, and according to Tip, he was there on Nip’s behalf.
“[Nipsey] and his partner David Brooks invited me here… like I said, we’re here discussing legislation we could use to benefit Crenshaw and Bankhead and other underserved areas,” he said while leaving the event.
“I did more listening than speaking, looking to download myself with the information in order to use the information to my advantage, along with my counterparts,” he continued. T.I. recently said the late rapper’s untimely passing was akin to the Avengers losing Iron Man.
When the gossip site’s camera man is told he may have to interact with Donald Trump throughout this process, the music mogul– who has been a vocal opponent of Trump– said that he has no problem working with “decent” people, further implying his belief that 45 is not.
