Tracy Morgan joked about why he doesn’t discuss politics in his stand-up routines during his appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers.
“I stay out of politics,” the comedian and The Last O.G. star told his former SNL co-star. “Politics is a pile of tricks, look at Kanye!
“You see when he was talking to the President, the President was like, ‘You crazy motherf—,’” he said to laughter. “He’s gonna wear his ‘MAGA’ hat when he moves back to Chicago? Oh, he wanna get shot. Someone gonna gladly put that man out of his misery. I stay away from that, I don’t even mess with that social media… I don’t need a thousand strangers callin’ me on my stuff, that’s what I got married for.”
Morgan, who is also reportedly getting the key to Brooklyn, said that Wal-Mart isn’t finished paying him after his near-fatal accident in 2014. A sprinter bus that he was a passenger on was struck from behind a Wal-Mart tractor-trailer.
“I don’t know the long-term effects of this brain damage was, if I start acting messed up in 10 years, they’re gonna hear from my attorney… when I settled with them, my brother works for Wal-Mart, and my settlement started coming out of his check! ‘You gotta talk to the dude who hit me.’”
