After his first interview appearance following a lengthy settlement with Walmart, Tracy Morgan will be honored with a star on Hollywood Boulevard’s 15-block Walk of Fame.
Morgan tweeted about the distinguished accolade on Tuesday (June 23), expressing his desire for the five-pointed star to be placed next to his “biological father”:
I am honored to be getting a walk of fame star. I hope they put me next to my biological father Charlton Heston from Planet of the Apes!

The good news falls perfectly in line with the former Saturday Night Live comedian’s recovery for a fatal car crash that claimed the life of fellow humorist and close friend James “Jimmy Mack” McNair. During Morgan’s Today Show appearance, he spoke about the fallen comedian’s legacy and thank his fans for the extension of their tireless support.
“I promise you, one day, when I’m 100 percent, I’m going to grab that mic and I’m never going to let it go. Never,” Morgan told host Matt Lauer.
Others to join the world’s most famous sidewalk are Bruno Mars, Kevin Hart, Adam Levine, LL Cool J and more.
