Tracy Morgan is on the up and up. After suffering from a severe brain injury following a fatal six-vehicle crash that killed his friend, comedian James McNair, last June, the comic also sued Walmart for negligence after one of its employees behind the wheel of a tractor-trailer rear-ended Morgan’s limo bus and caused the accident.
While updates on Morgan’s condition have trickled through the past few months—some borderline heart-wrenching, reports have emerged that the 30 Rock star has settled the crash suit.

According to BBC News, Morgan’s lawyer, Benedict Morelli, said Walmart “took full responsibility for the accident” after prosecutors alleged the driver had not slept for more than 24 hours.
Morgan added in a statement that Walmart “did right by me and my family, and for my associates and their families”.
“I am grateful that the case was resolved amicably,” he said.
Morgan is also slated to conduct his first interview with Matt Lauer of NBC’s TODAY Show on Monday (June 1). This will be his first Q&A since the accident.
