According to reports, there is a bench warrant out for Tyga‘s arrest, due to the rapper’s inability to show up to court multiple times.
TMZ states that the “Taste” MC “was allegedly served properly for an order to appear but didn’t do it, so the judge wants him picked up and set his bail at $250k.”
The warrant reportedly stems from a lawsuit against the California spitter’s music company. A young woman named Shyanne Riekena sustained injuries during a show of his over five years ago after a light stand fell on her head, leaving a gash that required staples.
Rickena won a judgement for $235,000, and since 2017, interest has tacked on an additional $15,000. However, Tyga himself reportedly has not paid the young woman and has skipped out on court dates multiple times.
Despite his legal woes, the musician continues to make waves in the music industry. He recently clapped back at his enemy of sorts, Soulja Boy, in a freestyle to Blueface‘s hit song “Thotiana.”
Ni**a call me goat, don’t call it a comeback/Seven million records, nine months, where Soulja at?,” he says on the track. “I could make the same song, bi**hes still play that/ Running around saying that you made me, why you say that?”
