Last month, Tyga was served legal papers at his L.A. Gear sneaker launch event, and now the reason behind the incident has been revealed.
The rapper reportedly owes $90,000 in back rent for a property in Calabasas that he moved into in 2010, according to TMZ. After failing to attend the initial court date scheduled, Tyga attempted to make amends by offering to pay the landlord’s legal fees. When the rapper’s check allegedly bounced, the landlord decided to take further legal action in an attempt to force Tyga to pay up. With the current case, the former Young Money artist’s assets could be seized in order to satisfy the debt.

The landlord has also beefed up his suit against the rapper, now demanding that he pays the $90,000 plus interest, totaling up to $124,000. He is also reportedly seeking for an arrest warrant if Tyga does not fork over the cash.
Tyga has not addressed this issue publicly as yet. Something tells us this landlord won’t be backing down any time soon, however.
