In bizarre news, former Beatles member Paul McCartney was denied entry into a Grammy Awards afterparty hosted by Tyga on Monday night (Feb. 15).
The occurrence went down at Los Angeles’ Argyle nightclub, where a bouncer refused to let McCartney inside the shindig, alongside Beck, and the Foo Fighters’ Taylor Hawkins. “How VIP do we gotta get?” McCartney jokingly said. “We need another hit.”
All wasn’t lost in the name of turn up when McCartney shimmied over to Republic Records’ post-Grammy event. Now, the situation has prompted a response from the host of that evening, Tyga.
The “Rack City” rapper took to his Twitter account to quiet all rumors that he was behind the matter. “Why would I deny @PaulMcCartney stop it. He’s a legend,” the Cali native wrote. “I don’t control the door. I had no knowledge SIR PAUL was there. I just performed and left.”

TMZ’s cameras caught up with Tyga and Bow Wow, who was also in attendance. The latter artist tried to remedy the situation, stating, “Maybe it’s the fact that we’re younger than Paul, and it’s the fact that…it’s a new generation…we really go out, like, we go to Argyle.” He later added, “This is the spot that we go to, we’re familiar faces, they know us. But that’s crazy though!”
