Tyler, The Creator was not here for U2’s new Songs Of Innocence album invading his iTunes. After the legendary rock band announced the unprecedented free release of their thirteenth solo album, the highly-anticipated album was automatically added to iTunes customers’ libraries. The announcement was made in tandem with Apple’s upcoming iPhone 6. And like many other iOS customers, the Odd Future rapper wasn’t exactly happy with his lack of choice in the matter. He took to Twitter with what looks like a real-time series of reactions:
GET OFF MY FUCKING PHONE. YOU COULDNT COME UP WITH AN ACTUAL MARKETING IDEA? FUCK @U2 I DONT WANT YOU. FUCK BONO. I DIDNT ASK FOR YOU IM MAD
— Tyler, The Creator (@fucktyler) September 12, 2014
I DID NOT YOU WERE ON MY PHONE. ITS LEGIT LIKE WAKING UP WITH A PIMPLE OR LIKE A HERPE IDK I DID KNOW YOU WERE ON MY PHONE WHAT THE FUCK
— Tyler, The Creator (@fucktyler) September 12, 2014
Then it seems he kind of opens up to the idea:
WOW ITS KINDA SICK THAT THEY ARE ON PEOPLES PHONE OUT OF NO WHERE……HMMM….I KINDA LIKE THE IDEA KINDA……FUCK BONO
— Tyler, The Creator (@fucktyler) September 12, 2014
But not before saying this:
FUCK BONO.
— Tyler, The Creator (@fucktyler) September 12, 2014
OK TO BE HONEST, SAYING FUCK BONO IS REALLY FUNNY TO ME HAHAHA
— Tyler, The Creator (@fucktyler) September 12, 2014
And then he ultimately changes his tune, perhaps after listening to the album?
BONO IS FUCKING AWESOME GOT DAMN
— Tyler, The Creator (@fucktyler) September 12, 2014
BONO IS BEAST GOT DAMN
— Tyler, The Creator (@fucktyler) September 12, 2014
So yeah, that’s how that went.
